The Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Business Partner is a health, safety & wellbeing champion within the business supporting the HSW requirement of the members. The HSW Business Partner will support the business to achieve HSW targets and objectives aligned to the HSW strategy. Reporting to the Head of HSW, this role will provide leadership and support in all aspects of HSW and workers compensation across the multiple member sites. The HSW Business Partner will influence and support the operations network and promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business.
The role is responsible for providing effective support for the delivery of high standards of HSW, ensuring compliance to all legislative requirements, development, implementation and continuous improvement and review of HSW initiatives, systems and processes, including management of cross-border workers compensation and return to work programs.
Key performance measures include: Onboarding members and contractors to the group management system, management of members and contractors, Site visits, safety policy/procedure development and review, monthly reporting to the board of directors, annual site audit completion, HSW committee participation, incident investigation, workers compensation premium reduction through strategic return to work and attendance at quarterly Insurer claims reviews.
The position will require some domestic travel as required.
• Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV of WHS minimum)
• Introduction to Return to Work Coordination Course completion
• Development and implementation of HSW policy manuals and procedures
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment
• Internal Auditor
• Advanced Return to Work Coordination course completion
The role will suit a person with hands on experience in developing and implementing HSW manuals and procedures from the ground up.
