As the Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will report to and work closely with the General Managers to develop and drive execution of best-in-class safety vision, drive step change and improve and sustain the Safety and Wellbeing initiatives. You will lead the HSW agenda and partner with leaders to drive a safety culture through everything they do. 

Utilising your degree qualifications, majoring in HSW, or equivalent, to leverage best practices to ensure all employees are being proactive in mitigating all HSW risks in a standardised way.  

In addition, primary responsibilities include:

  • Provision of leadership and guidance to leaders throughout the business, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and requirements
  • Ensuring in partnership with People and Culture, Safety and Wellbeing topics/content are integrated into standard training interventions.
  • running the National Safety Charter meetings and ensuring actions are taken and followed through.
  • Championing sustainability across the Region in line with the goals set for Safety and Wellbeing.
  • Development of value add well-being initiatives, including proactive health initiatives, psychological safety and managing mental health.
This senior role requires an ability to think strategically, drive strategy and manage the execution of a World-Class Safety and Wellbeing system. 
Abilities to undertake this role include:
  • Strong organisational, verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Stakeholder management ability, able to influence across all levels of the organisation
  • The ability to balance multiple competing priorities with a pragmatic commercial approach across multiple sites
