My client is a reputable engineering consultancy servicing clients nationally within the transport infrastructure space. Due to an upswing in work and project opportunities, their Asset Management division is looking to expand further to meet the upcoming workload but also strategically from an office growth and team development perspective.

As a result, we are currently in the market for a Principal or Team Lead Level Engineer who has strong technical experience working in the roads/highways infrastructure and asset management space. We are looking for a driven and personable individual who enjoys interacting with clients and stakeholders whereby driving improvements and standards within their industry.
  
In this role, you will be a technically strong Lead Engineer but will also possess the ability to manage & deliver projects, maintain & build strategic relationships, lead, mentor and delegate work to your team as well as driving improvements and efficient delivery within the asset management division.

The Position
  
This is an exciting long term opportunity given the structure and current standing of this successful business. There is a lot of autonomy in this role where you would be given the freedom to deal with stakeholders and clients assisting with the future development and sustainability of the team whilst receiving support from the interstate offices. 

Skills and Experience  

  • Possess Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Pavement Engineering or Asset Management - ideally Chartered
  • Circa 10 years plus in engineering consulting or governments agency experience - working within the transport infrastructure or roads/highways asset management space
  • Must possess the ability to lead and initiate ideas, develop proposals, identify and secure opportunities whilst undertaking projects for government agencies, councils, consultancies etc.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to run projects coordinating with the other disciplines and key stakeholders – a local industry network would be an advantage
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative and focused team environment - possess high-quality standards and attention to detail!! Enjoy learning on a daily basis & possess an eagerness to develop further
  • Have the ability to think outside the box and research new technologies, methodologies and techniques – also have the ability to draw information & resources from your team
  • Enjoy training and developing others to pass on your knowledge and experience - develop your own team & culture
