The environment: You’ll be joining an award-winning, progressive and friendly not-for-profit residential aged care operator. You’ll have an experienced clinician on site with you for support and mentoring. Good people, a pleasant culture and a management team who are there when you need them, and trust you to be professional as you start your physiotherapy career. The opportunity is full time permanent with above-average remuneration (at the graduate level the rate is $38ph + Super + Salary packaging), with a monthly rostered day off encouraged in addition to annual leave, and a significant focus around your ongoing professional development.
The graduate job: Provide services to maintain and improve mobility and movement of residents of a residential aged care environment through massage, exercise, aromatherapy, and pain management programs to manage comfort and improve wellbeing. It’s important to note that this is not the typical aged care physiotherapy role where you’d just be churning out pain management for a business who values profit over all else – there’s a genuine patient care ethos, and the role is varied.
About you: You value working within a supportive environment. If you’ve gained previous experience working with the aged that’d be great, but it’s not by any means essential, and ongoing training and development is provided. There’s also potential to commence working ASAP as a therapy assistant prior to gaining your AHPRA registration if you’d like to.
Sounds great, how do I apply? The recruitment process has commenced, so we recommend applying ASAP, and we'll call you to discuss your application. There are two positions available, and a $500 referral reward on offer in case you know of another graduate physio who would like to also apply.
