Reflect, Plan, Take Action

In our team meeting yesterday – one of our esteemed colleagues piped up and proclaimed “optimism + positive action = results”. He – being Sam Elderfield, continues to inspire us daily – he celebrates the daily wins and is always striving to make himself better.

In considering this statement, I have been in the recruitment industry for nearly 20 years and come across inspirational people all the time. Some of the most inspiring people take the time to reflect, plan and move forward with positive action. It is easy to do for and with your team, but when was the last time you did this for YOU?

We are now a quarter of the way through the year – you may have had new year resolutions and grand plans to change the world come January 1st.

Has this happened? Have you put that new plan in place? It’s never too late to get back on track.

Consider a few things:

  • How has the year started for you?
  • Are you happy with your role?
  • Are you happy with your current career projection?
  • Is there a certain skill or area of development that you want to master?
  • Are you looking after your health and wellbeing?

Moving forward, it is a great time to think about what you want to achieve in 2018.

Setting goals gives you direction and focus and it enables you to put things in place to achieve them.

…we all know that, but are we consistent?
