Reporting to the HR Manager and working closely with the HR Coordinator and wider HR team, the HR Business Partner is responsible for providing effective HR support in a national focused position across a both a (predominately) blue collar and white collar work force. You will work in a close knit HR team with a large portion of your time spent providing advice around performance related matters and managing employee and industrial relations matter. You will be responsible for conducting investigations, liaising with unions and partnering with the business. You will also work across a variety of HR projects and have the opportunity to take on mentoring opportunities of the HR coordinator.
You need to have an appetite for and enjoy employee and industrial relations, be willing to roll up your sleeves and jump in. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), planning and prioritising skills are needed to perform in this position. You need to be able to assess risk and make judgement calls. This is a fast paced and challenging environment but in a very supportive HR team who are fantastic at developing their people.
