JavaScript Tech Lead
Leading Adtech company seeks talented tech lead to join business and lead a team of JS developers

A growing, successful and incredibly cool AdTech company, is seeking a talented JavaScript Tech Lead to join their business. You will need to be incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Node.js and be a capable engineer. Not only that, but have experience and desire to lead/coach others and get them up to speed with this technology.
Based in Surry Hills right near central and the best coffee shops in Sydney, this growing lively tech business has a fun tech driven culture that is all about creating the best possible product to service their clients in the publishing/advertising industry.
Here is an outline of your day to day:
- Build their products from end-to-end,
- Be involved in frontend to backend to infrastructure
- Work in an agile team
- Be involved in product decisions and planning
- Analyse and estimate development tasks
- Coach & mentor other developers
Technically you will needed:
- You know how to make simple, clean and succinct code and can guide others to do the same
- Capable of making sound decisions on how to design and build well-architectured distributed systems
- Solid experience working with JavaScript/NodeJS and ideally Typescript
- You know how to write good automated tests
- microservices
- Interest in serverless and BigQuery
- Any knowledge of Google Cloud (OR experience AWS) would be highly regarded
Leadership and soft skills:
- Experience in mentoring and coaching
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working within an agile team
