The Opportunity
Exciting opportunity to work in an established data science & analytics environment with some of the smartest, most switched on minds in the Sydney market. Work with the Head of Analytics & Data Scientist Manager on this strategic, greenfield project which requires someone with machine learning expertise, ideally with exposure to NLP projects.
The Role
Working closely with the Head of Analytics and stakeholders to understand the business problem in detail and offer strategic recommendations on how to best tackle the project.
Working with a team of data science & analytics experts but taking ownership of designing, building and implementing machine learning models.
Being involved in the end to end analytical lifecycle - gathering data from data warehouses/data lakes, using statistical modelling/machine learning & visualising your results to simply provide insights to the business.
About YOU
Educational background in Stats, Maths, Engineering with 5+ years of commercial experience
Strong preference for someone with machine learning engineering expertise
Technical expertise with R, Python, Google suite of big data products and SQL/Tableau would be beneficial
Ability to articulate technical specifications clearly to non-technical stakeholders
