A leading Fintech is about to embark on an epic journey of digital disruption and change. Their current tech stack and product needs reviewing and a shake up and solution/technical guidance is vital for the success of the business. This role is pivotal for the strategic future of the business and the Solution Architect will be involved in a range of duties from POC’s and designing/Architecting/Developing solutions for the business to move forward.
It's a tech driven company that is small in size but packs a massive punch in it's space. They are based in the lower north shore with plenty of on site parking for those that commute to work via car. They also have flexible work arrangements and promote an avid work life balance.
It's an exciting time for the business, with strong growth internationally and locally. They take care of payments for SME's, Banks, Credit Unions & international travel companies just to list a few. Being a mobile first product they have mobile apps that support their cloud based product. Being hands on you will still be on the tools, helping build and engineer software, DevOPs - and utilising your technical architecture.
This includes but not limited too:
Reviewing various technologies that are out there in the market and evaluating against our current stack/outsourced options to deliver the best possible outcome in building microservices and for cloud deployment
Integrating a CI/CD environment
Building this platform so that it is compliant and secure (This is very much a hands on role)
Solution architecture documentation for digital technology and digital business initiatives
Application of hands-on technical expertise through proof-of-concept work and review of detailed application design and code
Provide advice and assistance to senior management and C-suite on project deliverable's
Key skills needed to be successful in the role:
Knowledge and previous experience as technical architect/solutions architect within a financial technology company/ FinTech/ Payments company
Extensive knowledge of AWS (API Gateway, Lamba’s, Cognito) & CI/CD
Experience in architecting microservices and knowledge of migrating a monolithic environment to microservices
Knowledge of modern technology stacks in Java, Ruby, Node.js
Experience in building systems that are PCA compliant for the payments industry that are highly secure
Knowledge of mobile technologies such as iOS/Android
Keen interest in Fintech’s/Payments industry
Have strong communication skills and the ability to leverage these to influence key stakeholders at C-suite level
